Tips for the ABC Diet

Hello and welcome to my tips section. I will add to this as I see fit. Feel free to send me suggestions and if I post them I will credit you for them. Hope this helps ♥

  • Post about what you are doing for the diet on a Tumblr. You will gain so much positive support you won’t want to fail and you’d feel bad if you ever lied to those who follow you.
  • Eat vegetables and other low-calorie foods. You will be able to have 2-3 meals a day, which is a lot better than having a hamburger for lunch and calling it quits.
  • Drink LOTS of water. To make yourself feel fuller at meal times, drink a sip of water between every bite and chew thoroughly. You will no longer be hungry in no time. You should drink at least two liters of water a day. *This is also great for your skin!
  • When you are hungry but cannot eat, go for walks or exercise through the hunger pains. This should give you something other to think about than food, and you won’t want to eat right after you have just exercised.
  • Tell a friend who is in a similar situation as you or one that will not judge/worry about you. It is easier to stick to this diet if you have someone you can talk to face-to-face.
  • Plan your meals a day ahead of time, it makes you less likely to binge and gives you more options.
  • Drink tea. Any natural flavor (as long as it is not fruit-infused or pre-sweetened) has virtually no calories. That and green tea has been found to have many different healthful properties such as boosting metabolism and even preventing cancer. Tea is what gets me through those tough fasting days.
  • Weeks 3 & 4 suck. Plan accordingly.
  • If you ever have to go out to eat with family, get a salad with low-fat dressing or vinaigrette as a meal. Drink lots of water and eat the salad slowly. You can always bring the rest of it home to “save for later”. If you are highly engaged in conversation, those eating with you are less likely to notice you are not eating a lot.
  • Don’t eat after eight. It is terrible for you metabolism.
  • If you feel like your weight loss is slowing, more exercising will get it back where it needs to be.
  • Don’t feel afraid to switch some of the days around so it is more convenient for your schedule.
  • Your weight will most likely fluctuate, so don’t stress out too much, this is all part of the process.
